HEATHER HUXTER MEMORIAL WRITING CONTEST

Canadian Parents for French – Newfoundland and Labrador, in collaboration with the Huxter family, has an annual Heather Huxter Memorial Writing Contest for French Immersion students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 throughout the province.

Those who knew Heather would agree that she was a very energetic and outgoing student who was always near the top of her class academically and admired by her peers for her enthusiasm and insight. Heather was very involved in her school’s French immersion program and loved writing and reading French stories. This contest is an effort to carry on Heather’s legacy by providing an opportunity for students her age to express their thoughts through writing in French.

Students and schools can both win prizes.  For more information, go to ACTIVITIES, YOUTH ACTIVITIES.

The contest deadline is Tuesday, May 31, 2016.  Bonne Chance! / Good luck!
